  1. Nice start you dinkus. So much for editing out the technical errors.
Gentle Friendly: Does exactly what it says on the tin: gentle and friendly. (Ideally they would package their CD in a tin, then this phrase would really work).
    Nico: Snoozefest.
I agree with Toby, crawling under the gate is for dogs.
Your brother and I had the exact same thought process on the name 'number 2'.
Sereena Maneesh: Good song. I don't really know what else to say. This is pretty contemporary for you.
"we'll just cut this out on the blog, it'll be fine" - sure you will.
This is a hattrick of technical errors now.
Archers of Loaf: When I think of this band name I think of archers shooting arrows into loaves of bread. This sounds pretty "pop rock" to me (AKA emo). I like it a lot. I'ma grab it. This is the problem with listening to your show, I end up with 5 new albums that I listen once each.
You need to stop saying "we'll cut this out on the blog".
Cats on Fire: If Elvis were still alive he'd probably make some sort of shit similar to this.
REM discussion: "jangle-pop"? who the fuck calls it jangle-pop? also their indie is called IRS not ICA. Their first 5 are the best though (maybe not Fables).
The dBs: When her voice came in I got an imaginary whiff of mouldy cheese. weird. Good song though.
Superchunk: I'M WORKING BUT I'M NOT WORKING FOR YOOOUUUUUUUUUUUU. SLACK MOTHERFUCKER. Enough said.
Vic Chesnutt: This is like the thouhts of the slack motherfucker when he goes home at night to be on his own. Epic song. Really good. Definitely grabbing this.
You should rename your show 'wilfully obscurist'.
Rocketship: This really could be a Pains song. Except I think it's actually better than most of their debut album.
You can't say "My Blood Valentine" you say "merblerverlertine"
Aberfeldy: This sounds standard battle of the bands shit. Get it off my radio.
Deerhunter: This might be my least favourite on the record. Actually probably not. I dunno. either way I still love it.
    "Milkman" - nice.
Another Sunny Day: No wonder she doesn't know he exists, if he's as boring as this song suggests then she probably forgot about him the moment she looked away.
A.A. Bondy: yeah, sonds like Dylan. That's all there is to it really.
Daniel Johnston: Great song. DJ only really has like 10 great songs, but the ones that are great are REALLY great.
You asked your bro if he'd seen 'The Devil and Daniel Johnston', we all saw that together at ATP! I think you guys had seen it before though. It is great indeed.
Okkervil River: Love how you cut off your brother there. Love this song more though. Definitely one of their best ever.
The National: How the hell do you think they're lumberjacks? TOOL. Your bro's also a tool for thinking Sad Songs is their second best. And a tool for thinking Boxer is their best. And a tool for thinking High Violet is album of the year. DEFINITELY NOT WISE WORDS.
    Really good song though.
